This is a 44-page long political science paper, written about the Obergefell decision handed down by the Supreme Court back in 2015. It is a requirement for all political science majors at Occidental to write a long, detailed, and comprehensive capstone paper in order to graduate properly and on time. I was lucky enough to work with Professor Caroline Heldman on this important project.

While studying at UC Berkeley, before I transferred to Occidental, I took a class called “Wealth & Poverty,” with Robert Reich, former labor secretary under President Clinton. A few years ago, I decided to take a creative writing class at my local community college, Ventura College, taught by Professor Deborah Ventura. I gained valuable insight into the creative writing process during this time. Included is my favorite literary project from the class, which is a clever short story that I hope you will enjoy.
